3. There is a 2 hr break between golf singles and double in case you need to change venues. All venues in Blenheim are within ten minute drive of each other. Please ensure you are at your new venue in time to
start the doubles.
4. Play will commence at 0900 hrs. on all days. Briefing will be at 0845 hrs. on all days, also a briefing for the doubles at 1320 hrs on Tuesday.
5. All games will be 35 minutes on – 35 mins off – start and stop on the bell.
6. There will be a five minute break between one game finishing and the next starting. This will give time for players to clear the lawn and for the next players to get ready. It is your responsibility to be ready to start
when the bell goes. Games will not be held up because you are not ready. Please ensure that you clear the lawn as quickly as possible at the end of your game, so that the next game will not be held up.
7. Double banking may be required on all days. Lawn allocation is for example 1A first colours, 1B second colours. Second colours will start from corner two (Red flag). IF YOU ARE DOING A FIRM SHOT, PLEASE WARN OTHER PLAYERS IN THE DIRECTION YOUR BALL MAY BE GOING.
8. If you find that you are being held up by the other game on the lawn, you may with agreement of all players play to a different hoop. Any ball now hampered, may be, with the agreement of the opposition shifted to a position to give you an unhampered shot.
9. Whether first colours or second colour, you should if possible follow the normal clockwise direction for the first 6 hoops and then anti clockwise for the next 6 hoops etc. If you find that you are being held up by
the other game on the lawn, you may with agreement of all players, play to a different hoop.
A. Any ball now hampered, may be, with the agreement of the opposition, shifted to a position to give you an unhampered shot.
B. Whether you go to an alternative hoop or not. Any ball that was in an offside position before an alternative hoop was selected is still in an offside position and is sent to the penalty area.
C. Any ball that is over the half way mark between the current hoop and the new hoop you have agreed to go is moved back to the halfway line between the two hoops.
10. There will be NO official lunch break. You are asked to have your lunch during your 35 minute break.
11. At the end of each game please complete the appropriate score sheet, one player from each side is to sign it, and hand to the scorer.
12. Medal allocation will be on total hoops scored. In the event of a tie, hoops for and against will be counted to find the winner. The medal presentation ceremony for the singles will be held at about 1200 hrs on
Tuesday and for the doubles at the end of play on Wednesday – at approximately 1630 hrs.
13. If the ball is in motion when the bell goes, and the ball runs the hoop, then the hoop is to be counted.
14. The fields in the singles have been split into an “A” and “B” groupings and in the doubles to an “A”, “B” and “C” groupings, depending on your handicap. This was done to provide a fairer competition so that
players on low handicaps are not playing those on higher handicaps. There is also an “OPEN” Grade in the singles for players on low handicaps.
15. Singles and doubles will be played at both clubs in Blenheim. Please read the age groupings below, to see which group you are in and where you will be playing. To accommodate the provisions of the draw,
some age groups and handicap groups have been split. This has been done on a purely random basis.
16. Morning and afternoon tea will be provided by the host clubs; hot water and cold drinks will be available throughout the day. The hostess fee is included in your entry fee.
17. Draws are available at the venues. All players will have up to seven games of singles and doubles.
